The State Senate and Assembly Committees are considering a legislation that would create a pilot program which would allow electronic wagering terminals to be placed venues that serve food and alcohol. The pilot program will be tested out in the northern counties of New Jersey as well as part of Orange County. If the legislation is passed a few select bars and restaurants would be given the license to create mini-off-track wagering sites that would allow customers to place live bets on horse races that take place on state-owned tracks.
